Setback For Assam Congress As MLA Quits

The Congress in Assam suffered a blow today. Its most vocal and prominent MLA, Rupjyoti Kurmi, resigned and declared that he would join the ruling BJP on Monday. He said the party had stopped listening to younger leaders.
